Booking Transportation to Klemtu
Being a remote community, there are only two ways to get to Klemtu and no road access to this area. The summer schedules for both our transportation partners only come out three months prior to the bear-viewing season. Spirit Bear Adventures ask that all guests do not book their flight or ferry until 60 days prior to their scheduled trip departure. Due to our minimum number requirements, we like to ensure that we will have a trip running for the dates requested. Please see our Cancellation Policy below.
Cancellation Policy
The following is our policy on cancellations.1. More than 90 days – Full refund
2. 90-60 days –$500 administration fee
3. Less than 60 days - no refund unless we can fill the space
Cancellations will only be considered upon receipt of written notice. We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance for your protection in the event that illness causes a cancellation. Please contact your travel agent for more information.
Cancelled Trips
Due to the nature of operating in the remote wilderness area, Spirit Bear Adventures reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure for any reason whatsoever. This includes inadequate sign-up which makes the tour economically unfeasible for us to operate, or logistical problems which may impede tour operations. Spirit Bear Adventures will try to give at least 1 month notice prior to the tour departure date for a cancellation due to inadequate sign-up. In such a case, a full refund of the tour cost is given unless it is possible to reschedule the departure date. If a tour is cancelled Spirit Bear Adventures is not responsible for expenses incurred by clients in preparation for the tour including non-refundable airline tickets, medical expenses, equipment purchases etc.
