Since 1996, tourism staff at the Klemtu, BC Tourism Office have been welcoming tourists to our small coastal village. Whether coming by BC Ferries, float plane, private boat or kayak, visitors should make the Tourism Office their first stop when arriving in Klemtu.Ann Brown and her staff of summer students provide a wealth of information and are happy to help make your stay in Klemtu, whether it be three hours or three days, a unique and memorable one.
The friendly staff can help you with the following:
- Local geography and tourist highlights in the town and traditional territory
- Organize one day and multi-day trips with our knowledgeable Spirit Bear Adventures guides
- Arrange and book Big House and town walking tours
- Arrange and collect payment for docking fees and overnight moorage
- Provide information on camping in Klemtu
- Give directions and hours of operation for local grocery store and cafe
As well as providing information and booking tours, the office is a place to purchase local arts and crafts made by local Kitasoo and Xai’xais artisans. Carvings and paintings as well as souvenirs of your trip to the Great Bear Rainforest are available.
